Reality
Reality - Acrylic paint 1.16 x 1.42 m.
Reality is the very fabric of our existence, the tangible world in which we live and interact every day.
It can be complex and changing, reflecting our individual and collective experiences, and is often the starting point for our perceptions, actions and decisions.
Reality can be interpreted in different ways from our personal perspective, but it remains unmistakable and influences our lives in many ways.
Personalizing reality is not easy. A great piercing and soft look at the same time, a direct and concrete look, but behind which we can read other things, faces us. We cannot look away from this reality, we see and perceive it.
The major aspect of this canvas is black and white to recall the false from the true, the real from the unreal, the shown from the hidden. The half-measure is not.

Deco Notice:
This canvas is large and powerful. It has a strong design. It will be perfect on a large wall with a necessary backset for its legibility.

It can be complex and changeable, reflecting our individual and collective experiences, and it is often the starting point for our perceptions, actions, and decisions.

Reality can be interpreted in different ways depending on our personal perspective, but it remains inescapable, influencing our lives in multiple ways. Personifying reality is not easy. A wide, piercing yet gentle gaze, a direct and concrete gaze, yet one behind which we can read other things, confronts us. We cannot look away from this reality; we see it and perceive it.

Intimacies
Canvas exhibited at the Art Olympics - Artiade in New York from November 15 to 25, 2024.
Acrylic painting on canvas measuring 80 x 80 cm. This portrait questions us about the secret part that is intimacy, about the founding characteristics of a personality, about the personal and singular gaze that each of us has on ourselves, in an internal energy that, only very rarely, is externalized and if it is, is only given to see to the other in reduced portions.
This woman seems strong and sure of herself, the mirror reflections created by the vertical stripes present different facets of her face, they are the internal versions of this character. They represent what this woman hides, what she fears, what she also perceives of herself in internal mirror vision.
The play of transparency evokes memories, the lightness of her soul.
This portrait was technically complex but very interesting to make.
This woman evokes for some an ancient era, for others a modernity.

Oil on canvas 80 x 80 cm
It is the result of work on the fragmentation of her environment whether it is physical or psychological. Her internal emotions are represented here by the multitude of vertical bands which represent the different levels of consciousness and unconsciousness of which each being is made.
This woman represented in profile blends into her projects, her hopes, her positive or darker emotions. She is turned towards a bright future which transcends and attracts her. She is sure of herself and of what awaits her. The bluish hues symbolize her natural hopes of well-being and balance. The white colors express the unity of her thoughts, their perfect cohesion with her feelings. She is and comes from this internal world from which she springs, as if she had taken a step forward and was preparing to launch herself. Destiny is a profile portrait whose light springs from nowhere, probably from the imagination of this woman and her expectations. Her serenity reflects her confidence in going towards the place she wants to reach.

This woman seems to come out of nowhere. Half hidden behind a striped glass, symbol
of the aesthetics of its time, it appears. She is present by her charisma, she imposes her gaze directed towards us, she questions us while revealing herself to us and asks questions of us. Where does it come from, what is it going through? It is mysterious, dark and luminous at the same time, also transcended. She is the master of her life, at the dawn of women’s liberation in the roaring twenties. Her soot-marked gaze is insistent and sure. She is nevertheless sailing in an almost monochrome world, the only sensation left of those years, in spaces where the time between the wars, made up of wounds and loss of meaning and without colour, shaped the lives of men and women.
She is strong and fragile at the same time, her femininity is rebellious and her charm is enigmatic, like many women of the 30s. The strength of femininity is revealed and heralds the beginning of a women’s revolution that will last a century later.

Evolution
This fragmented portrait presents a woman, symbol of all women in their evolution over time. In a reading from left to right, the woman of yesteryear was semi-hidden, discreet, in the background. Her vision itself was secondary, hidden behind habits and decorous morals. In the center, the contemporary woman, strong and self-confident who asserts herself and maintains her gaze towards her destiny. She is serene and smiles at life. On the right, symbolizing the future, the becoming of femininity, unknown because the concept of femininity cannot, to this day, be defined. Will femininity be virtual like everything that surrounds us? Will the very concept of femininity be digitalized, can we know today what femininity and humanity will become in the distant future.

Reflection
Acrylic painting on canvas 80 x 80 cm. This man is peaceful in appearance, he sits, and his gaze set on a point in the distance, open to his future. He is installed in this moment of reflection, like a spectator facing a spectacle. Fragmentation also reveals it in its multiple thoughts, by the repetition of the same face in symmetry and cut into thin strips as windows open on other internal states, which are directed to the present and past. The internal dynamics of reflection are never visible. This hidden part of us is what makes us in everything we do, think and create.

He is installed in this moment of reflection, like a spectator facing a spectacle.

Envy
Acrylic painting of 30 x 30 cm. Coming from us, desire can take several faces. It can be invasive because it is waiting for satisfaction, it can be a source of intellectual or carnal pleasure, it can be harmful when it is synonymous with jealousy.
This woman with a luminous gaze seems on the verge of satisfying a desire, greedy and expressive. Is our view of her desire understanding or envious too? What does she envy? Or what is the source of this desire?
Her half-open mouth symbolizes desire, she is ready to savor her satisfaction… the close-up on the mouth in pink fade of the mouth reminds us that behind each desire hides an inner desire.

Coming from within us, envy can take many forms. It can be invasive because it expects satisfaction, it can be a source of intellectual or carnal pleasure, it can be harmful when it is synonymous with jealousy.

This woman with her luminous gaze seems about to satisfy a craving, greedy and expressive. Is our view of her craving understanding or envious? What does she envy?

Envy
Acrylic painting of 30 x 30 cm. Coming from us, desire can take several faces. It can be invasive because it is waiting for satisfaction, it can be a source of intellectual or carnal pleasure, it can be harmful when it is synonymous with jealousy.

Acrylic painting on canvas 80 x 80 cm. Femininities embodies the quiet strength that resides in the gentleness of every woman today.
This modern and current woman, strong and fragile at the same time, sure of herself and her abilities, but sometimes filled with doubts, is in her car, on a journey that feels like everyday life. She is stationary and observes the landscape around her. Her head position shows her assurance and confidence. She faces her situation, she controls her driving while enjoying a moment of pause, but also knows how to protect herself. Glasses protect her eyes, she is elegant, her seat belt is on, but here, in this moment, she escapes through thought.
This painting is a tribute to all the women of today who face life by managing a multitude of roles, a multitude of femininities: mothers or not, career women or not, independent women or not, all subject to the relentless rhythm of a life that is organized around the time devoted to each area that they have to manage, and to live with a mixture of strength and fragility.

Acrylic painting on canvas 1.50 x 0.50 m.
A dream is a mental state in which a person experiences vivid and often unreal images, ideas or scenarios during sleep. Dreams occur mainly during the REM sleep phase. Psychologists and researchers are interested in dreams as a window into the unconscious and as a way in which the brain processes emotions, lived experiences and repressed desires.
Dreams can vary in intensity and meaning, from simple daydreams to deeply symbolic experiences.
This young woman is between sleep and wakefulness, in a moment of relaxation where she gives free rein to her imagination.
She is enveloped by the softness of the dream that guides the mind into a soothing embrace, offering a dreamlike refuge where the worries of the real world fade away in a gentle whirlwind of reverie.
Decorating advice: This canvas, in very soft and contemporary tones and a lovely vertical format, could be the center of your interior decoration!
